About

Reference in corrosion and cathodic protection solutions for the offshore Oil & Gas industry.

Ionfix has over 45 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with specialized expertise in corrosion. Throughout its history, our technical team has closely followed the development of the national market, especially in the oil segment.

We are the only Brazilian company with full command of offshore impressed current cathodic protection technologies — ICCP (Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) — and of anti-fouling systems based on copper and aluminum anodes for ship and platform sea chests, internationally known as MGPS (Marine Growth Prevention System) or ICAF (Impressed Current Anti-Fouling).

We have participated in major national projects, with particular emphasis on work alongside Petrobras and the Brazilian Navy, taking part in bidding processes and achieving outstanding results in the supply and servicing of cathodic protection systems. We have a solid track record in supply, consulting, and field surveys for offshore cathodic protection and anti-fouling systems.

Ionfix stands out as the company with the longest operating history and the only fully Brazilian company in the offshore cathodic protection segment. Its origins trace back to the former FRONAPE (now TRANSPETRO), where, in the 1970s, it participated in various onboard operations for the maintenance of impressed current cathodic protection systems manufactured by international suppliers from Japan, England, Norway, and other countries. This experience enabled full mastery of the technology and, in the early 1980s, the development of proprietary systems with 100% local content.

Combining the experience of our CEO in technological development — including participation in the team responsible for the first microcontrollers manufactured in Brazil — with a highly qualified and integrated technical team, we ensure that our equipment meets the highest international standards. Our systems incorporate exclusive solutions and features developed from decades of hands-on experience, critical analysis, and continuous improvement, overcoming limitations observed in conventional technologies.
